The federal window tax credit expired December 31, 2025. It is not available for windows installed in 2026. If a quote you are looking at includes a federal tax credit, the number at the bottom of that quote is wrong.

Rocky Mountain Power - Wattsmart Home

Conditions

Windows must be ENERGY STAR rated with a U-Factor of no more than 0.22.
Doors and skylights must be at least 80 percent glass by square footage and carry a U-Factor of no more than 0.22.
Existing single-family home. New construction does not qualify, and manufactured homes do not qualify.
You must live in Utah and buy electricity from Rocky Mountain Power on rate schedule 1, 2, or 3.
The home needs electric heating or a central cooling system serving at least 80 percent of its conditioned floor area.
Windows must go into finished or conditioned living space with a permanently installed HVAC system. Garages do not qualify.
Work must comply with all building codes and standards.
Windows may be installed by a program-participating contractor or self-installed.

Deadline

Applications are due within 180 days of the installation being completed. Approved rebates are issued within 14 business days after review.

Recent change

This program moved from a per-square-foot structure to a per-window structure effective February 27, 2026. The dual fuel heat pump tier applies to installations on or after that date.

Enbridge Gas - ThermWise Weatherization Rebates

Paid per square foot of window area.

Conditions

Windows must have a U-Factor of 0.22 or lower. Windows above 0.22 do not qualify at all.
Existing dwelling with an active Enbridge Gas meter. New construction does not qualify.
The household must have primary gas heating on a GS rate schedule.
You submit the dimensions of every installed window plus the original or a copy of the NFRC sticker from each one.
You also submit a recent Enbridge Gas bill and an itemized invoice showing the contractor, dates, manufacturer, model, dimensions, U-Factor, price, and proof of payment.
Contractor installation is not required.

Deadline

The rebate request must be postmarked within 6 months of the installation date. The 2026 promotion runs 01/01/2026 through 12/31/2026.

The short version

Both programs draw the same line: a U-Factor of 0.22 or lower on the NFRC sticker. Both are for existing homes only. One pays per window, one pays per square foot, so which is worth more to you depends on the size of your glass rather than on the count.

Keep every NFRC sticker and every itemized invoice. Those two pieces of paper are what the applications are built around, and they are the most common reason a rebate stalls.

Rebate approval is made by the utility, not by Lone Peak Windows. Program terms are set by the utilities and change with notice. These figures were checked against the published program terms on the date shown above, and we check them again every month. We will tell you honestly whether the glass package you are quoted qualifies.
